Enno Mammen Turns 60!

Today, January 20, the Academic Supervisor of the Laboratory of Stochastic Analysis and its Applications, Enno Mammen, celebrates his 60th birthday.

His outstanding contributions to mathematical statistics and stochastic analysis are obvious for any specialist of this community. Professor Mammen is the author of many well-known papers and monographs in the fields of mathematical statistics and theoretical econometrics. He is a full professor at the University of Heidelberg (where he also received his first academic degree in mathematics), the 1989 Heinz-Maier-Leibnitz-Price winner, a member of many international societies (Bernoulli Society, Institute of Mathematical Statistics, and others) and an associate editor of several highly reputable journals in statistics and stochastics. Mammen’s study, ‘When Does Bootstrap Work? Asymptotic Results and Simulations,’ was published by Springer in 1992 and made a significant contribution to the methodology behind collecting and analysing statistical data.

Enno Mammen’s Laboratory of Stochastic Analysis and its Applications was created at HSE in the spring of 2014 and brings together researchers and mathematicians from Russia, France, Germany, and Great Britain.
