The Higher School of Economics ranked 38th in the QS ranking of young universities, up from 48th last year.

HSE Climbs in QS World University Rankings

HSE has climbed almost 40 places in the QS World University Rankings and now occupies 343rd place among the world's best universities. This is thanks to a significant improvement in its academic reputation and the employers' assessment of university graduates.

HSE Strengthens its Position in QS World University Rankings by Subject

HSE has topped the list of universities in the Russian Academic Excellence Project 5-100 once again, having been ranked in 13 subjects and 3 subject areas in the QS World University Rankings. The university has entered the top 100 in ‘Sociology’ and ‘Political and International Studies’ categories, as well as the top 100 in ‘Social Sciences and Management’.

Not only did they receive prizes, but also had the opportunity to put some thought-provoking questions to the university administration. Winners of the First International Competition ‘Cities for a Flying World’ Announced

HSE Graduate School of Urbanism has announced the results of the first international contest for students and young professionals ‘Cities For a Flying World’. The contest took place from May 29 to  November 7, 2017 and was a part of the admission campaign for the new Master’s programme of the HSE Graduate School of Urbanism ‘Prototyping Future Cities’. 

Two HSE Programmes Make QS Best Business Masters Ranking

The programmes in Big Data Systems and International Business have entered the QS Business Masters Ranking in Business Analytics and Management. Published for the first time, the ranking is based on an analysis of over 300 universities from more than 40 countries.

HSE Enters Top 50 in QS BRICS Ranking

HSE’s progress in the global rankings in 2017 can also be seen in the QS BRICS regional ranking, where HSE is now 39th among all universities, moving up 23 positions as compared to last year.

‘Stolen Wheels’ to Serve the Good Turn for HSE

The results of the 'Steal the Wheel’ Competition have been decided. Entrants suggested implementing some useful practices at HSE that had proved their efficiency at other Russian or international universities, with the winners receiving their prizes at the beginning of December. The winning projects include new approaches to writing theses, organising space in classrooms, and submitting reports on academic trips.
