The publication "International Encyclopedia of the Social and Behavioral Sciences (Second Edition)" won the main prize of the 40th annual PROSE Awards in the category "Excellence in Reference Works". Two of the Area Editors have affiliation with National Research University Higher School of Economics — John Berry (co-head of International Scientific-Educational Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research), and Peter Schmidt (former co-head of International Scientific-Educational Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research).

On 18 February Maria A. Kozlova in the framework of the scientific seminar "Culture matters", was made by Andreevna (Cand. Hist. Title: Serious games with kids:cows on magic field
At the beginning of the current academic year, the International Laboratory of Game Theory and Decision Making opened at HSE St. Petersburg. Its launch marked a significant milestone in the university’s development, as the lab gathered internationally recognized scholars and representatives of the Russian Academy of Science.
In 2016, integrated government support will be provided not just to innovative clusters but also to industrial ones. According to experts of the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge’s Russian Cluster Observatory, there’re 125 clusters in Russia currently active in the industrial production field. However, only those included in the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Registry would be able to receive financial support from the government budget. The ministry is going to set the registry up very shortly.
