On June 21-23, the International Conference "Formal Philosophy – 2021" was held, organized by the HSE International Laboratory of Logic, Linguistics and Formal Philosophy.

On Friday, June 11, UNESCO held a ceremony to launch its new UNESCO Science Report, which arrives at a crucial moment as countries reach the halfway mark of meeting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The Report shows that, over the past five years, countries of all income levels have begun efforts to transition to economies that are both digital and green. At the ceremony, six of the Report’s authors provided overviews of trends in their regions. Representing the East European region was Professor Leonid Gokhberg, First Vice Rector of the HSE University and Director of the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (ISSEK).

An article "A Centralist Approach to Regional Development: The Case of the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Far East" by Alexander Libman and Andrei Yakovlev was published online in the journal "Europe-Asia Studies".

On June 7-10 the 10 th  ICSID Conference will be held online. Ekaterina Borisova and John Reuter, the ICSID fellows who were responsible for the Conference organization, answered our questions about the upcoming event.

On June 3 Irina Prusova (Research Fellow, Scientific and Educational Laboratory of Psychology of Social Inequality, HSE University) took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report "Reminders of Death and Political Ideas about the Ideal State in the Countries of the Post-Soviet Space".

The paper by Artem Baklanov and his co-authors has been accepted by one of the top CS conferences.
