On December 24 Valeria Shorokhova (PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor, Department of Ethnopsychology and Psychological Problems of Multicultural Education, MSUPE) took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report "Social perceptions of success among modern Muslims".

On December 15, 2022, the International Laboratory for Population and Health and Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Center held the seminar “Impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the dynamics of life expectancy".

Alexander Lukyanov and Vyacheslav Neveriv are making headway in improvement of quantative methods in microscopic superconduction theory.

Sergey Davydov, Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology, Senior Research Fellow at the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research (HSE University), moderated and co-presented the results of a joint study of The Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC), the HSE and the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University "Artificial intelligence in media and communications".

On December 9-10, the 5th International Forum "Cognitive neuroscience - 2022" was held in Yekaterinburg. The aim of the Forum is to integrate the experience of leading experts in the field of cognitive neurosciences and cognitive technologies.

On December 6, 2022, a roundtable "Identity and folk culture: dependence / confrontation / indifference" was held, to which experts from different fields were invited so that they could identify a view of identity specific to their professional field and thereby enrich general ideas about the processes of identification in culture.

As part of the study, researchers of the Laboratory for Research on Molecular Mechanisms of Longevity was able to demonstrate that microRNAs in human lung tissue exert evolutionary pressure on the SARS-CoV-2 genome.

Violetta Korsunova, Junior Research Fellow, and Boris Sokolov, Laboratory Head, have become the prizewinners of the Elizabeth H. Nelson Prize for the best paper from a society in transition.
