This fall the Linguistic Convergence Laboratory will organize a free online course on the East Caucasian (alias Nakh-Daghestanian) language family. The course will start on November 3.

On Friday, October 15, School-Seminar "Current State and Perspectives of Atomistic and Multi-Scale Computer Modeling for Fundamental Science and Technology" was held at MIEM.

George Moroz, research fellow of the Linguistic Convergence Laboratory, defended his PhD thesis entitled «Some Questions of Circassian Segmental and Suprasegmental Phonology and Phonetics».

A panel session on “Modernizing Welfare in Russia and Other Post-Soviet States: Deinstitutionalization, Inclusion, and Agency” was successfully organized and held by the International Laboratory of Social Integration Studies (ILSIS) at the XXII April International Scientific Conference on Economic and Social Development to be held on 21 April, 2021 via Microsoft Team Platform in order to interact with presenters and participants from different parts of the world.

16 April 2021. The joint seminar of IL SIR and Hamilton Lugar School of International and Global Studies at the Indiana University at Bloomington took place in zoom.

On March 18, HSE University will host the international Neurotechnology & Freedom Conference, which will be held online. In an exchange with HSE News Service, Vasily Klucharev, director of the Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience and tenured professor at HSE University, discussed what views on the compatibility of these two concepts exist in modern science and art.
