Three HSE University Programmes in Management Receive European Accreditation
The bachelor's programmes of the HSE Graduate School of Business in Business Administration and Marketing and Market Analytics and the English-language Master's programme of HSE ISSEK ‘Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation’ have been accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). Earlier, the Master’s in Finance offered by HSE University in St. Petersburg also received accreditation in the Economics category. Having four degree programmes recognized by EFMD is an unrivalled achievement for Russian universities.
On December 7, 2021, EFMD Accreditation Board accredited three HSE University programmes in management - two Bachelor's programmes of the HSE Graduate School of Business in Business Administration and Marketing and Market Analytics and the English-language Master's programme in Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation offered by HSE ISSEK.
The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) is an international association of leading business schools and companies established in 1972. Today there are about 1,000 institutional members from all continents. HSE University has been EFMD member since 1998. The EFMD system of accreditation of degree programmes in management, business schools and corporate universities is one of the most prestigious in the world.
The Bachelor's programmes of the HSE Graduate School of Business received this prestigious international accreditation at the first attempt and for the maximum period of 5 years. This result is a pioneering achievement for Russian business schools. It is also quite a rare occurrence, especially for large-scale programmes (two programmes collectively enroll over 1,600 students).
ISSEK Master’s programme has received accreditation for 3 years. Counting the Master's programme in Finance (HSE University in St. Petersburg), which was accredited for 3 years, now four HSE University degree programmes have been accredited according to EFMD quality standards, which is unique for Russian universities.

The EFMD international accreditation of the ISSEK Master's programme in Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation is a landmark event for our team.
