Программа дисциплины

Аннотация

This course is aimed at giving a comprehensive overview of GMAT and GRE exams: scoring, structure and problem solving strategies. Course parts dedicated to GMAT and GRE multiple choice question sections are designed in an interactive format, i.e. theoretical explanations are delivered in form of commentaries to solving actual exam problems. The course is recommended for students planning to apply to MBA and Master’s programs that consider GMAT and GRE scores an important part of application package. The course covers all basic structures and problems of both exams with a special attention to Verbal sections of both. It provides a sufficient platform for future applicants to manage their own training-for-the-exam process.

Цель освоения дисциплины

• Provide knowledge of scoring, structure, question types and problem solving strategies for Verbal and Analytical Writing Assessment sections of GMAT and GRE exams
• Help students master qualities required for successful passing of GMAT and GRE exams: fast attentive reading, critical thinking, basics of formal logic, rules of Standard Written English
• Provide information and resources to help students build their own training program
