Course Syllabus
Abstract
This seminar will guide students in their study trajectories and basic research activities. It will combine general seminars and individual consultations to inform students about elective courses, project work, and the preparation of their term papers/master's theses. We also touch upon the main developments in the field of public policy studies to discuss the prospective topics and issues that could be studied by the students
Learning Objectives
- to acquire a general understanding of the different research directions in public policy
- to develop an individual curriculum for a student
Expected Learning Outcomes
- plan and organise reading and listening self-study activities
- Know the formal structure of research work;
- A student can critically evaluate and rethink the accumulated experience (one's own and another's), think about professional and social activities.
- monitor and assess progress and modify plans as required.
- An individual curriculum has been formed

- An orientation workshop
- Public policy: what to study?
- What must we research, and what are the most important public policy problems to be studied?
- Individual consultations, project work and interim results
- Public policy research: case studies and reviews
