Влияние гендерной диверсификации на рынке труда на экономическое развитие и рост населения

Diversity is a key word of a modern word. Today, every developed society faces the challenge of acceptance being more diversified than ever. This acceptance should permeate all possible dimensions of diversity: race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, and so on. There is no argue when one talks about diversity as an abstraction. However, there appear still many controversies when the notion is being applied to the real life. This study considers diversity from a gender dimension, trying to find out whether gender diversity in the workplace can affect economic development and population growth. As female employment is controversial and its role in business is still an uncertain issue, current research explores the relationship between gender diversity in the workplace and a comprehensive indicator of economic development – GDP per capita on constant US 2010 dollars. The second question of the study is whether more employed women can somehow affect population growth, as giving birth to a child was earlier considered as women’s primary purpose. The research brings its originality considering gender diversity in the workplace on the macroeconomic level as an interrelation of both women economic rights and female employment. Moreover, the research is focused on the countries where these conditions complement and reinforce each other. The results show that this issue is of great importance to the modern world, suggesting inspiring directions for further studies. Key words: Gender diversity, Population growth, Economic development
