Theoretical Consequences of Propaganda in the Aspect of Strategical Interaction Between Politicians

Political economics is an actively growing part of economics. One of the questions usually analyzed in political economics papers is the question of propaganda. But such papers do not accommodate the important insight the political century did in 20 century —— importance of political interactions in the way how the decision was made. In this paper we introduce the first attempt to combine the idea of political interactions and propaganda. The main conclusion of our research is that politicians completely change behavior if they face competitors, such that the policy they introduce goes against the their initial aspirations. They do so to stay in power for a longer period of time.
