Dear colleagues, We invite you to take part in the second workshop on the inclusion of children and youth in post-socialist countries. The workshop is held by the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research.

Two articles drafts will be discussed at the workshop:

 

1. Svetlana Borodina, Ph.D. in sociology, mellon teaching fellow at the Harriman Institute at Columbia University in the City of New York

 Challenging Presumed Exclusion in Special Education in Russia: A Case Study

Elena Nosenko-Shtein, Doctor in History, leading researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Natalia Nemirova, PhD in sociology, associate Professor at the Department of European Studies at St. Petersburg State University.

 

2. Nikita Bolshakov, PhD in Sociology, research fellow at the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research

Charlie Walker, PhD in Sociology, Associate Professor in Sociology, Department of Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology at the University of Southampton

 When we all choose inclusion, where do we go: the comparison of parental satisfaction with inclusive education for children with special educational needs in post-Soviet countries

Aleksey Shemanov, Doctor of Philosophy, leading researcher of the Scientific and Methodological Center of the Institute for Problems of Inclusive Education, Moscow State University of Psychology & Education.
