The Start of a Series of Project Seminars with ILSIR Members and NPOs as Participants

In the second half of January the members of the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research, the Direction for Innovation Management of NRU HSE, along with Russian Disability NGO 'Perspektiva,' launched a new project: realization of a series of collective research with the participation of NPO representatives.

Throughout the year 2021 the participants of an academic and educational group represented by NRU HSE staff members and students will be partnered with NPOs to complete evaluation and research projects, including those related to the key problematics of the Laboratory: inclusive education and employment, availability of social services and cultural spaces for people with disabilities. NPOs from all over the country are involved in the process, which significantly expands the geography of research: from Adygea to Novosibirsk.

A series of project seminars is currently underway, with the aim to develop a program and design of the research, to determine the methodology and empirical base. Working in small groups, exchanging the experience helps to maintain a discussion of perspective participatory research projects and programs. The collaboration is expected to deliver not only academic results but also educational achievements due to engaging students to work on active projects.
