Elena Iarskaia-Smirnova, Daria Prisyazhniuk and Danila Parshchikov took part in a project session on the implementation of the “Service-learning” mechanisms and the development of partnerships between universities and socially oriented non-profit organizations
The project session was held on April 17, 2024, at which employees of our Laboratory made a presentation and organized moderation of project work on the issues of inclusion and prevention of social orphanhood.
The session was held by the ANPO "National Agency for the Development of Qualifications" together with the Moscow State Psychological and Pedagogical University with the support of the Moscow Public Relations Committee in order to determine the topics and initiate student projects implemented to solve the problems set by SO NPOs in the areas: prevention of social orphanhood, social integration (inclusion), educational activities, prevention of social and other diseases, development of social tourism; determining the content of promising joint project initiatives of SO NPOs and universities, including in the format of organizing research and analytical projects, programs of additional professional education, attracting specialists from SO NPOs to the implementation of educational programs, conducting internships and practical training for students.
The head of the IL SIR, professor Elena Iarskaia-Smirnova made a report on the mechanisms that are used in the IL SIR for the purpose of service learning, namely: involving students in research activities through project-oriented training courses and the implementation of applied projects in partnership with NPOs. Leading researcher at the IL SIR, docent Daria Prisyazhniuk and research assistant at the IL SIR Danila Parshchikov moderated project work in thematic groups on issues of inclusion and prevention of social orphanhood.
