On Wednesday, February 14, the National Research University Higher School of Economics hosted a seminar "Expert opinion and data analysis".

On February 7, the lecture hall of the Russian 'Znanie' ('Knowledge') Society hosted a series of talks by HSE researchers and faculty as part of the 'Russia' International Exhibition and Forum. The talks covered a diverse array of topics, such as the interplay between innovation and creativity, how values are passed down between generations, debunking myths about Russia, the principles of successful communication in various contexts, and the concepts of collectivism and individualism. The events were open to the public.

On 1st and 2nd February 2024 the team from the "Mirror Labs" project of the Laboratory of Social and Cognitive Informatics at HSE presented their project at the Winter Psychological School of SPbSU.

An article by scientists from the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology at the National Research University Higher School of Economics has been named among the most frequently read articles published in the journal PeerJ in 2023. In this article, the researchers established a link between genetic features of the human immune system and the ability to effectively resist new waves of COVID-19. PeerJ is a peer-reviewed open access scientific journal covering research in the biological and medical sciences. Each year it ranks the most popular scientific papers.

On February 7, 2024, Institute of the State and law of the Russian Academy of Sciences held a Seminar as a part of the International Scientific Conference «Bachilovskie Readings», which was attended by the Research Fellow of the International Laboratory of Digital Transformation in Public Administration of the HSE University, Dr. Diskin.

The “Third Mission” of the University is a course for a wide audience, created by the Institute of Socio-Economic Planning of the NRU HSE within the framework of the “Vladimir Potanin Scholarship Program” of the Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation.

On 5 February, the staff of the Centre for Sociocultural Research together with the staff of the Laboratory of Comparative Social Research, the Centre for Stability and Risk Studies, and the Department of Psychology of the National Research University Higher School of Economics came together to exchange ideas and experience in their respective fields.

On January 29, 2024, as a part of the regular seminars of the Center for Sociocultural Research of the National Research University Higher School of Economics "Culture Matters", Daniil Anreevich Sitkevich, Ph.D. in Economics, researcher at the Center for Regional Studies and Urbanism of the Institute of Applied Economic Research of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, researcher at the Laboratory of Institutional Analysis of the Faculty of Economics of the Moscow State University presented with a report on the topic “Highlanders and guests: intercultural interaction and development of the hospitality industry in the North Caucasus”.
