A series of victories has come to our institute! 

On September 26, 2022, Elizaveta Goncharova defended her PhD thesis.

On September 29, the regular scientific seminar "Modern Demography" of the International Laboratory for Population and Health at HSE University took place. Marina Kolobova, resercher in the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, Rostock (Germany) and the University of Rostock (Germany) made a presentation on the topic: “Variation in excess mortality across the federal states of Germany during the Covid-19 pandemic: the role of reported morbidity and selected structural factors”.

Daria Semenova, PhD student at the National Research University Higher School of Economics-Perm and IDLab employee, presented the study "Measuring effects of packaging on willingness-to-pay for chocolate: evidence from EEG experiment"

There has been a quantum leap in the creation of scientific zoom collaborations around the world.

In early September, the HSE University Faculty of Computer Science hosted the international conference Computer Methods of Cognitome Analysis. The event was organised by the International Laboratory of Algebraic Topology and Its Applications at the faculty.

Denis Ivanov, a Senior Research Fellow at ICSID, spoke at the annual Ariel Political Economy Conference at Ariel University (Israel). He presented the report “Public Reaction on Trade Sanctions in a Democratic Context: Evidence from Moldovan Wine Embargo”.
