Priority 2030

Artificial intelligence is not creating new professions, but rather transforming the nature of existing ones. This was the conclusion reached by participants in the panel session ‘Hybrid Intelligence: Digital and Human Drivers of Development,’ organised by the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (ISSEK) at HSE University as part of the 13th International Forum of Technological Development (Technoprom-2026). The experts discussed how the nature of work is changing, which skills are becoming increasingly sought after, and what prevents companies from fully capitalising on new technologies.

From 9 to 11 July 2026, the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology in Moscow hosted the XIV All-Russian Congress of Councils of Young Scientists and Student Scientific Societies, bringing together more than a thousand participants from 75 Russian regions and 12 foreign countries. Evgeny Knyazev, Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Physiology at the HSE University Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, took part in the Congress, also serving as Deputy Chair of the Council of Young Scientists of the State Research Center Shemyakin-Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry RAS.

HSE University is preparing to launch its second supercomputer. The new cluster will be primarily dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI) workloads and will complement the existing cHARISMa supercomputer. It is scheduled to become operational by the end of 2026.
