On May 24, 2024 the conference «Studying Gender, Family and Love During the Crises» was held at the European Humanities University in Vilnius.

There was a meeting of the Scientific and Expert Council of the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the topic "Digital transformation of public administration: problems and solutions". The Head of the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration of HSE University, Evgeny Styrin, and the laboratory’s collaborate, the head of the Center for Research on Public Administration Problems of the Institute of Economics RAS, Irina Smotritskaya participated in it.

On 13-14 May, the first in-person intensive of the HSE Predoc Programme for Preparation for PhD in Social Sciences and Humanities was held at the HSE St. Petersburg campus. Arsenii Buchatskii, a research assistant of our Laboratory and a student of the Joint «‎Master's-PhD» Study Track, was one of the 21 participants of the intensive, selected among 36 candidates, and shared his impressions of the school.

On May 22, 2024, the next seminar "Mapping of disturbed peatlands for fire hazard assessment and implementation of climate projects using remote sensing data" was held.

HSE University hosted an international mini-conference titled 'Search for new ways to develop Russian-Italian cooperation in the field of Biomedicine,' attended by scientists from both countries and HSE Rector Nikita Anisimov.

International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration continues a series of expert interviews within the framework of the project "Digital Transformation and Sustainable Development" under the leadership of Leading Research Fellow Anna SaninaResearch Fellow Aisylu Atayeva and Research Assistant Violetta Khomyakova interviewed Elena Dolgikh, PhD in Economics and Director General of SGM Agency. She is also the coordinator of the "Sustainable Development of Regions and Cities" project of the National Network of the UN Global Compact and a member of the Expert Council on non-financial reporting and ESG-indices. 

On May 15-16, 2024, the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference in memory of M. Kondratyev "Social Psychology: Issues of Theory and Practice" was held in Moscow.

International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration continues a series of expert interviews within the framework of the project "Digital Transformation and Sustainable Development" under the leadership of Leading Research Fellow Anna Sanina. Research Fellow Aisylu Atayeva and Research Assistant Violetta Khomyakova conducted an interview with Konstantin Zaretsky, PhD in Economics, founder of the ESG-World media platform. In the interview, Konstantin Zaretsky answered questions about the role of the state in ensuring sustainable development, potential risks, barriers and opportunities for government agencies in implementing digital technologies in the context of sustainable development, the necessary competencies and skills for effective implementation and use of digital tools in sustainable development.

On Wednesday, May 15 the scientific seminar of the International Centre of Decision Choice and Analysis was held. Professor Maskin gave a lecture on "Why Globalization Has Failed to Reduce Inequality?"

As part of the special session "Study of Safety and Biomarkers of New Drugs," a report was given on "The Use of the 'Human-on-a-Chip' Platform in Drug Development"
