Course Syllabus
Abstract
The mentor’s seminar is aimed at developing an individual educational trajectory and individual educational results in a professional track for a master’s program studen. We will be able to discuss these and other questions with you during the seminar, when building your individual study plan, when choosing your research project and developing a research question that will later be addressed in your master’s thesis. By joining this track, you will be able to discuss with your mentor a set of courses that will help you in your future career. You also can discuss research questions and get additional feedback on your master’s thesis.
Learning Objectives
- Formation and accompaniment of the student’s educational trajectory according to the chosen professional path
- Discussion and preparation of a master's thesis prospectus: scientific gap, aim and objectives of the research, data, methodology, results anticipated

- Reasoned formation of individual curriculum.
- Justification of a choice of the individual elements of the curriculum
- Matches education plans with the chosen professional trajectory

- Mentor’s Setup Seminar. Structure of the educational programme "Finance": expectations, rules, opportunities.
- Individual curriculum as a tool for achieving educational goals at the Master's programme "Finance"
- Master's thesis proposal
- Monitoring the students' learning process
Assessment Elements
- A pre-defence of Master's Thesis
- Defence with the presentation of the Master's Thesis proposal "Prospectus"The grade will be given by a committee of teachers
- Text of the Master's Thesis Proposal "Prospectus"A Pdf document submitted in deadline and in accordance with the rules of anti-plagiarism and of formatting the scientific text.
- Presenting of the literature review on the chosen topic of the Master's ThesisDevelopment of the professional competencies in the context of finding a research gap, formulating of the scientific questions, using various databases and instruments (including AI) in purpose for finding the scientific papers and creating a literature review on the chosen topic
