Course Syllabus

Abstract

This course explores the evolution of religiosity in the digital age. It focuses on emerging phenomena such as religious bricolage, business religions, and ambient religiosity, alongside "lived religion" practices. Students will examine how social norms transform in a post-secular world where traditional religious consciousness is being revitalized. Key topics include religious systems within Huntington’s "clash of civilizations" and their impact on education, science, law, and the military. The curriculum also covers quasi-religiosity in political regimes and crypto-religiosity in modern worldviews, linking religious experience to psychological types and local values. Practical components include the option for empirical research through field observations and interviews.
