Course Syllabus
Abstract
Within the course students form a complex representation of the current state of the theory and practice of risk-management.
The course enables students to acquire competences in risks accounting, risk management, enterprise’ risk assessment, risk environment analysis.
Learning Objectives
- • Comprehensive analysis of methods of risks accounting within investment planning
- • Review of crucial concepts of risk management
- • Knowledge of main methods of quantitative and qualitative risks analysis
- • Identification of key stages and parameters of company’s risks assessment
- • Consideration of the fundamentals of investment portfolio theory
Expected Learning Outcomes
- Consider risks in investment calculations
- Identify key risk factors within main directions of company’s performance
- Implement methods of qualitative and quantitative risk analysis
- Interpret key risk indicators of investment portfolios, certain assets and certain companies
- Develop the risk-management strategy for the company

Assessment Elements
- Projects on seminarsSeminars tasks (4 tasks) – 10 points each
- Final ProjectMethod of delivery: Team-work. Excel file with calculations and Word-file with explanatory note should be provided. Students are supposed to present the brief results of their work (Power-Point file plus oral report) and be ready to answer the questions.
