Abstract

All students of the educational program “Practical Philosophy” take a mandatory exam in the format of an oral defense in English of a research project (Project Proposal), corresponding to the topic of the chosen final qualification work

Learning Objectives

To develop students’ ability to articulate and defend their research ideas in English, demonstrating academic communication skills appropriate for the field of philosophy.
To ensure that students can clearly outline the scope, relevance, and methodological approach of their intended final qualification project in a concise and structured way.
To assess students’ capacity to engage in scholarly dialogue, respond to critical questions, and refine their research proposal based on feedback.
To strengthen proficiency in using specialized philosophical terminology and academic English in an oral presentation context.
To align the preliminary research design with the standards of academic rigor expected for the final qualification work.

Expected Learning Outcomes

Have basic academic writing skills in both English and Russian.
