Course Syllabus
Abstract
The discipline "Talent Management" is devoted to a strategic approach to attracting, developing, and retaining key employees as a key factor in the organization's competitiveness. The course covers modern concepts of personnel management, from analyzing macroeconomic trends in the labor market to practical tools for assessing competencies (assessment centers, 360-degree feedback), building a talent pool, and creating individual development plans. Special attention is given to integrating the HR-strategy with the company's business objectives, applying a competency-based approach, and creating a culture of continuous learning and talent motivation within the organization.
Based on the results of mastering the discipline, the student will:
To know:
* Key socio-economic trends in the labor market and their impact on business needs.
* The basic concepts, history, and place of the talent management function in the full HR cycle.
* The theoretical foundations of the competence approach and the principles of andragogy (adult education).
* Performance and potential assessment methods (structured interview, assessment center, 360° method).
* Principles of personnel reserve formation, succession planning, and career track building.
Be able to:
* Analyze the relationship between the company's business strategy and human capital development needs.
* Develop a competence model for specific tasks of a position or department.
* Apply various assessment methods to identify high-potential employees (HiPo) and build a talent pool.
* Design balanced training and development programs based on the 70/20/10 model.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of staff training and development activities.
* Create a motivation system aimed at retaining and developing key specialists.
Own:
* Skills in conducting structured competency interviews.
* Methodology for team-based solution of complex HR cases, including problem analysis, risk assessment and development of a practical solution.
* Tools for drawing up individual employee development plans.
* Skills of argumentation and public presentation of the results of analytical work in front of an audience.

- Developing a systematic understanding of the role of talent management as a key element of a modern company's strategy.
- Developing the skills to diagnose business needs for human capital and design appropriate HR processes.
- Mastering modern methods of assessing personnel and employee potential in order to make informed management decisions.
- Obtaining practical experience in developing competency models, succession programs, and individual employee development plans.
- Developing the skills to create a motivation system that stimulates professional development and talent engagement.

- Attendance and participation of students during seminar sessionsDuring the assessment of attendance and work activity, the student’s mastery of all course topics is evaluated.
- The team decision of the caseDuring the solution of the team case, the following are assessed: the actual accuracy of the answer, the detail and completeness of the solution; practical applicability; adherence to the structure and logic of the presentation; the quality of the argumentation; risk assessment; compliance with the task.
