Course Syllabus
Abstract
Physical culture is a discipline aimed at the development of skills in various sports and the overall strengthening of the body. The discipline is implemented in the format of thematic sections. The discipline is designed for students with basic and preparatory health group.
Learning Objectives
- Formation of personal physical culture and the ability to use various means of physical culture, sport and tourism for the preservation and strengthening of health, psychophysical preparation and self-preparation for future life and professional activity.
Expected Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate organizational abilities
- Able to competently build communications with a focus on objectives and situational awareness
- Provide precise definitions for key concepts, terms relating to physical culture.
Course Contents
- General Theoretical Foundations for Instilling Physical Culture in University Students
- Professional/Applied Physical Training (PAPT) as a Special Approach to Developing Individual Physical Culture among University Students
- Medical/Biological Foundations for Instilling Individual Physical Culture in University Students
Assessment Elements
- Activity in the classroomChecking and correcting the student's mastery of skills for each section of the program as a whole and for the types of exercises planned in the section
- Final standingsPerformance of the mandatory physical fitness test (reveals the level of physical culture and practical skills, characteristics of the student's general physical fitness, his psychophysical readiness for professional activity)
