Course Syllabus

Abstract

Initially, algebraic geometry focused on studying solution sets of polynomial equation systems. These points correspond to maximal ideals of certain rings, but it quickly became apparent that it was more reasonable and natural to investigate sets of prime ideals, leading to the concept of schemes. Almost all modern algebraic geometry works with schemes, making it crucial to understand their structure and basic properties. This course primarily covers these topics (and in fact it is analisys of Robin Hartshorne's book "Algebraic Geometry.")
