Course Syllabus
Abstract
This course aims at training students in developing a research design methodologically. In particular, the students are asked to work individually in developing a research plan for their master thesis. They will be asked to present a concrete research question, to develop a sampling or data gathering approach that suits their research question, and to advance a preliminary literature review of relevant and up-to-date academic sources for their work. In the seminars, the students are required to present each task in the classroom and to discuss and explain their methodological choices. Each task will require the writing of weekly reports where methodological steps are explained in detail.
