Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course "Ethical Leadership and Social Responsibility" aims to develop knowledge and skills in ethical decision-making and socially responsible leadership. Students will explore the principles of ethical leadership, the role of ethics in organizational culture, and strategies for integrating social responsibility into business practices. The course includes case studies, simulations of ethical dilemmas, and project work, enabling students to apply theoretical concepts to real-world situations. Upon completion, students will be able to lead ethically and promote social responsibility within their organizations.
Learning Objectives
- Introduce theoretical approaches to ethics, both in historical and modern contexts, and learn to apply them in practice.
- Familiarize students with key concepts in ethical management: corporate social responsibility, sustainable development, ESG, and more.
- Highlight the difference between ethical and unethical management practices.
- Demonstrate, through specific case studies, various leadership styles and their relationship with ethics.
- Develop skills for analyzing and resolving ethical dilemmas in various management areas: marketing, human resource management, procurement, and finance.
Expected Learning Outcomes
- Know all basic ethical ideas from ancient and modern times. Being able to apply them to cases.
- Know all ethical ideas that may be applied to economic system and to management of a company.
