Course Syllabus

Abstract

This course introduces modern AI from a mathematical perspective. Rather than treating AI as a collection of engineering tricks, the course emphasizes the mathematical structures behind today’s most influential models: optimization, approximation, attention, graph learning, generative modeling, physics-informed learning, operator learning, and interpretable neural architectures. Each lecture combines theory, frontier research, and hands-on coding in Python/PyTorch.
