Course Syllabus
Abstract
This course is delivered as part of training in the "Data Visualization and Infographics" competency for the "Data Journalism" track, in Module 3 of Year 1. It enables students to learn how to create infographic materials and apply visual storytelling skills to produce attractive, engaging, and accurate projects.
Learning Objectives
- Introduce students to modern infographics tools and techniques
- Practically master techniques for producing infographic materials
- Study the principles of visual storytelling
Expected Learning Outcomes
- Presents the results of their work in a clear, attractive, and engaging form
- Prepares data and builds flowcharts, mind maps, and network graphs
- Builds adaptive data visualizations in Figma and can combine them with text and illustrations
- Plans the narrative and storytelling of an infographic piece and selects the most appropriate type of visual metaphor
- Creates infographic materials using modern tools.
