Abstract
This seminar-based course provides students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in interpersonal communication within both local and international cultural project contexts. The course emphasizes independent and collaborative learning through role-playing simulations, live dialogue practice, self-analysis, and structured peer feedback sessions. Through case studies, group discussions, and hands-on assignments, students will explore active listening, conflict de-escalation, constructive feedback models, meeting facilitation, and strategic networking, equipping them with the competencies necessary for thriving careers in today's dynamic cultural and creative industries - regardless of their prior experience.

Assessment Elements
- Active Participation in SeminarsA common challenge for lecturer is managing punctuality and active collaboration among students. We hope to address this point by rewarding the desired behavior with a grading weight of 25%. The grade for class attendance would be calculated as follows: total number of student attendance divided by Number of expected class attendance × 10.
- Personal Development Plan for Communication CompetenceStudents complete this task individually. After the facilitation session on industry demands from university graduates, each student uses the session’s findings and personal reflection to create a Personal Development Plan (PDP) for Communication Competence structured with the 10-20-70 learning formula: 10% formal learning, 20% social/mentoring learning, 70% experiential learning (on-the-job practice, projects, internships, simulations).
- Communication JournalThe Communication Journal is a reflective, evidence-based document chronicling the student's experiential learning journey throughout the six sessions. The journal requires students to systematically document, analyse, and critique their interpersonal communication encounters in real or simulated cultural project settings - including interactions with artists, curators, sponsors, volunteers, and team members.
