Abstract

The course aims at developing communicative competences in the chosen foreign language that include: communicative competence, language competence, socio-cultural competence, cognitive competence on intermediate and upper-intermediate

  • be able to translate thematic texts on Japanese culture, socio-economic problems and political features
  • be able to maintain conversasions on everyday topics (getting to know, favourite music and food, going to Japanese hotel)

  • can listen to a coherent self-introduction, understand important aspects such as profiles, interests, hopes and aspirations.
  • can get a general idea of what kind of person they are by reading their self-introductions on social networks.
  • can write about their interests, hopes and aspirations in their self-introductions in social networks.
  • can explain the characteristics of the country's cuisine and how it is prepared
  • can listen to music and the characteristics and appeal of the music.
  • can explain why they like the music they like and what appeals to them.
  • explain the features and attractions of hot springs and ryokans by listening to local live reports on TV travel programmes.
  • can read reviews of hotels and inns on internet travel sites to explain what is good and bad about them
  • can give some details about his/her recent situation and events, including what happened and how it happened.
