Course Syllabus

Abstract

The research seminar is designed to develop and consolidate the skills and competencies of research work among graduate students, to form an informed research request for choosing the topic of Master thesis and further educational and career paths. The main goal of the research seminar is to teach research methodology, analysis and review methods, scientific literature, methods and means of professional presentation and special information. In writing for academic purposes, the scholar is conceived of as a disinterested scientist recording empirical observations with the help of the scientific method. You have demonstrated motivation and competence progressing to a Master’s degree program, the important remaining competencies you will need are self-direction, patience, and perseverance—significant requirements for completing a Master’s thesis or dissertation.

  • The research seminar sets are perceived and designed as adjunct and support to regular courses in the MA programme. Students are expected to learn methods for research and apply them to course work of the other programmes, asking for assistance of the instructor when desired
