Course Syllabus

Abstract

Lecture series cover key topics of distribution logistics. The aim of the course is to familiarize the participating students with the advanced concepts and tools of planning and distribution network design; to develop students’ analytical and decision making skills related to the tasks of distribution logistics of different levels. The course is based on interactive teaching style with intensive student participation. The course combines lectures and group-work components, class discussions, student’s group work presentations, case-studies.

  • Get acquainted to the basic approaches of organizing optimal distribution network
  • Familiarize with the core logistics models and methods in order to organize intermediaries, transport and warehouse collaboration within the distribution logistics system
  • Get used to practical case study in the field of SCM

  • Research the peculiarities of logistic techniques used in retail distribution networks
