Course Syllabus
Abstract
The goal of the course is to form students’ knowledge and understanding specificity of technological entrepreneurship as a specific activity at new markets and to develop skills in justifying and making decisions in commercialization of technological innovations at all stages of their life cycle: from generating an idea to optimizing a financial model of innovative projects and managing entrepreneurial risks. As a result of mastering the discipline, students master the conceptual and theoretical apparatus in technological entrepreneurship, acquire the skills and abilities to apply methods and tools for managing innovative technological projects and new businesses. The discipline contains practical and instrumental components (including case studies) that allow you to move from idea to business idea and form a business model of a new technology business, conduct market research for new products in the early stages of the life cycle and develop an approach to promoting new products on the market and branding, develop an approach to management an innovative project and substantiate the method and conditions for attracting investments in the implementation of technological innovation.
Learning Objectives
- The main purpose of the Course is to develop competencies in Technological Entrepreneurship, allowing to sharp an approach to the commercialization of intellectual activity results, effectively using available resources, as well as forming the investment attractiveness and strategic competitiveness of business based on technological innovations. Basic tasks: 1. Forming knowledge about the essence and characteristics of technological entrepreneurship as a special type of activity, 2. Developing competencies associated with an adequate choice of technological solutions for their subsequent commercialization in various forms of technological entrepreneurship, 3. Mastering the toolkit for developing entrepreneurial solutions for the development of new products / services and technologies, creating a high-tech new business, forming a strategy for its development, and ensuring strategic competitiveness Elaborating ideas about the possibilities of supporting technological entrepreneurship and infrastructure components of innovation
