Course Syllabus

Abstract

Cooperative game theory is an essential and chronologically necessary component of modern game theory. Its main idea is to explore conflicts, analyze possible coalitions of players, the supposed exact mechanics of coalition formation, intra-coalition features, and strict volumes of player actions. This calls for a robust and rigorous approach to large games where precise non-cooperative formalization through strategy and payoff is too complex, unconvincing, or otherwise problematic. The classic and most widely applied application of this model is the model of market exchange in the overall economic mix.
