Course Syllabus

Abstract

The business process modeling course is devoted to the study of modern methods and tools for describing business processes, which are widely used in practice. Among the approaches under consideration: BPMN business process modeling, ARIS methodology, UML language

Learning Objectives

• Understand the concept of process management and a business process concept
• Gain business process modeling skills using modern approaches and modern tools
• Design complex information systems using ARIS methodology and UML modeling language

Expected Learning Outcomes

• Create a verbal description of the organization's business process
• Reproduce basic elements of BPMN notation and diagramming rules in BPMN notation
• Create a business process model in BPMN notation
• Reproduce the definition and properties of a business process
• Apply business process definition and properties to describe processes
• The student correctly formulates the goals and metrics of the business process
• Models business processes in BPMN notation
• Reproduce basic BPMN notation constructs
• Interprets process models in BPMN notation
• Properly selects and applies BPMN notation constructs for accurate business process modeling
• Explains the concept of choreography in relation to business process modeling
