Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course is devoted to different aspects of digital transformation of business. The first module covers the history of industrial revolutions, a special attention is given to Fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0). Different sides of digital transformation are considered, many examples based on real companies are given. A part of the course covers revolution of IT platforms themselves. Considerable time is reserved for deep dive into modern technologies which usually being considered as a base of digital business transformation. Complex cases of successful and unsuccessful transformation of real companies are on the focus as well. Social and humanitarian consequences of digital transformation analyzed at the last module.

Interim Assessment

Interim Assessment

  • 2022/2023 3rd module
    «Fail» (0-3) in the case that less than a half of all tests during the lectures passed. To pass the test during the lectures student have to answer 3 out of 5 questions correctly. «Satisfactory» (4-5) “4” in the case of less than 75% of tests during the lectures passed or “5” in the case of more than 75% of tests during the lectures passed. «Good» (6-7) More than 75% of all tests during the lectures should be passed. On top of that more than 80% of home assignment should be finished for “6” and also all 3 assignments based on guest speaker’s lectures should be finished for “7”. «Excellent» (8-10) On top of requirements for “Good” a student should fully represent the role during the final game/presentation (“8”). A Well-structured and argued essay on the provided topic should be prepared for “9” and “10”.
