Course Syllabus

Abstract

This course educates Master students on how to conduct scientific research. By the end of the course, the students will be able to make informed decisions on the research design of their research papers; understand and adhere to high standards of scientific research; understand the importance of theoretical foundation of their research; apply the principles of an effective literature review; recognise the importance of a research framework; understand the application of widely used research methods and data analysis techniques; address data collection and sampling issues as well as bias and validity issues; apply best practices of creating and delivering presentations to communicate their research results effectively.
