Course Syllabus

Abstract

Responsible leaders around the world are embracing a normative concept of sustainable development, based on the systems perspective and the protection of human rights for the sake of well-being of all in flourishing ecosystems. This course provides key theoretical frameworks and practical tools for understanding a conscious business with purpose, focus on key stakeholders, and responsible leadership culture in a net zero economy. Being a student-centered online course designed with the application of the most innovative pedagogies focusing on creating a rich experience through action, reflection and learning the course aims to develop a new generation of responsible leaders with a holistic mindset. It rests on a multi-disciplinary approach to learning and requires profound ecological awareness, development of systems thinking (knowing) combined with emotional (feeling) and spiritual (being) intelligence. The students taking this course will interact with the leading minds on the ESG-transformation, learn from the case-studies on circular economy and engage in individual and group art-based projects on the UN SDGs. There will be no final exam, just continuous assessment of your engagement in the in-class and out-of-the class learning activities.
