Course Syllabus
Abstract
This discipline refers to a cycle of special disciplines and a block of disciplines that provide basic training. The study of the discipline "Financial analysis" is based on the following disciplines: Economics of the enterprise; Company valuation; Microeconomics; Accounting. For the effective development of this academic discipline, students must have the following knowledge and competencies: know and
understand the basics of the enterprise economy; have an idea about the management system at the enterprise; know the basics of business law; know the classification of costs and types of costing.
Learning Objectives
- Learn to make analysis of financial statements, make conclusion upon the financial performance and position of a company.
- Learn methods for analyzing financial statements and identifying early warning signs.
- Gain experience in using modern analytical tools for financial distress assessment
- Develop comprehensive skills in detecting and preventing financial fraud through the study of various methods and techniques.
- Building of professional competencies in assessing and modeling the financial health of companies using quantitative methods and approaches.
Expected Learning Outcomes
- Learn more complicated accounting issues
- Identify risk areas from the analysis of financial statements
- Analyze business environment of companies
- Be able to analyze financial statements and financial report of companies of different industries
