Organising activities for conducting fundamental studies, including research carried out according to HSE University state assignments.

Supervising the activity of the Centre for Fundamental Studies;
Coordinating the activity of the Scientometrics Centre;
Coordinating the activity of the Centre for Scholarly Integration;
Coordinating the activity of the Office for Research Evaluation.

Solving issues of financial and logistical support for the supervised units.

'The Teams Engaged in The New Projects Have Every Opportunity to Achieve Exceptional Scientific Outcomes'

HSE University has announced the results of the first Competition of Joint Basic Research Projects 'International Academic Cooperation' held from December 11, 2023, to April 8, 2024. Highly successful research teams at HSE University, having extensive experience in collaborating with international partners, took part in the competition. A total of 25 applications were submitted from departments across HSE University's campuses.

‘University Life in Partnership with Artificial Intelligence’

HSE University is one of the leaders in IT education and research in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Thanks to this, the university recently received the highest grant of the Priority 2030 programme. Results of HSE University’s Mirror Laboratories Contest Announced

This year, HSE University held the Mirror Laboratories project contest for the fourth time. A total of 19 applications were submitted to the contest from 16 HSE University research departments partnered with 16 organisations from 14 Russian regions. Following the contest results, 10 research projects received support.

'We Wanted to Create an Opportunity for Intercampus Teams to Engage in Promising Studies'

HSE University has announced the winners of the Project Competition in Basic Science Research for Intercampus Departments. The competition, which the university is organising for the first time, will provide funding to 10 research teams working on five topics. Four of the winning projects will be implemented by new research departments formed as a result of the competition.

HSE Basic Research Programme Publishes 1,000th Working Paper

The 1,000^th working paper, which came out this November, discusses how innovative companies in the U.S. fund projects. Its authors are Anastasia Stepanova and Maria Kokoreva, research fellows at the HSE Corporate Finance Center, and Kirill Povkh, first-year Master’s student in the Corporate Finance programme.
