Md Tahsir Ahmed Munna is a second-year master’s student in Data Science at HSE. He is also one of the international students nominated for HSE’s Silver Nestling Award in 2019. Munna’s master’s thesis focuses on knowledge graph-based recommender systems, and he works as a research assistant at HSE’s Laboratory for Models and Methods of Computational Pragmatics. HSE to Hold its First Fun Run
Run √25, the first fun run organized by HSE, will take place on May 28 at Gorky Park. Our University is now 25 years old, and we’ll run 5 km together to celebrate this anniversary (or rather, our ‘anti-versary’) - along Pushkinskaya Naberezhnaya and Andreevskaya Naberezhnaya, from the Green Theatre to Luzhnetsky Bridge, and back again. Think of it as running from the darkness of ignorance, unbelievable stupidity, and bad grades as fast as we can!
13th International Conference on Concept Lattices and Their Applications
On July 18-22 the 13th International Conference on Concept Lattices and Their Applications was held at HSE. The conference has been organized since 2002. This year it was held in Russia for the first time. The event was organized by the International Laboratory for Intelligent Systems and Structural Analysis and the School of Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence of HSE Faculty of Computer Science.

Concept lattices can help spot pedophiles on the web. Researchers of the HSE's Department of Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence have helped the Dutch police create a computer program that can detect internet pedophiles and even determine how dangerous they can be.
