Since its foundation, the Laboratory has strived to attract the best scientific minds working in algebraic geometry, in Russia and abroad. Laboratory of Algorithms and Technologies for Networks Analysis - 220*
Laboratory of Algorithms and Technologies for Networks Analysis (LATNA) was created in October, 2011 at the Higher School of Economics. It is an independent body of researchers and teachers, under direction of Professor Panos M. Pardalos (University of Florida, USA), funded from a grant by the Ministry of Science of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the laboratory is scientific research and the establishment of international relations in the field of algorithms and techniques on algorithms and technologies for networks analysis for fundamental and applied research.

Internatonal laboratory for Applied Network Research - HSE*
International laboratory for Applied Network Research was launched in 2014 as a result of a tender of three-years projects. General aims are development and testing of new network data analysis methods in different fields (branches of science). As much as network researches are multidisciplinary we involve researchers in mathematics, statistics, education, sociology and management.

Laboratory for Comparative Social Research - 220*
The Laboratory aims to develop rigorous quantitative comparative (cross-country and cross-regional) studies in Russian sociology. The combined efforts of international and Russian scholars in the Laboratory will bring comparative sociology in the Higher School of Economics to the forefront of international research. The focus of research will be on comparative studies of social change – the analysis of cross-sectional and longitudinal data.

The Laboratory aims at getting meaningful results in economic theory and empirical research. It is based on a new class of models of market systems with free entry.
The main tasks
- the study of new possibilities of monopolistically competitive markets under conditions of the removal of restrictions on the constant elasticity of substitution between goods in consumption;
- extended analysis of the model of monopolistically competitive markets by including it in models of endogenous growth and multi-product output;
- study of the nature of asymmetric solutions agglomeration model of core-periphery type;
- empirical study of Russian interregional and international trade accounting for heterogenity of firms, sectors and trade flows;
- development and testing of computable general equilibrium models in the regions.

Laboratory of Quantitative Finance - 220*
The purpose of the ILQF is to build an academic team for the purpose of conducting research in mathematical finance and financial econometrics. Key areas of research include realistic mathematical models of financial markets; development of probabilistic mathematical tools for analysing suchmodels; risk assessment, portfolio optimization, liquidity risk, real options, and optimal stopping;financial econometrics focused on systemic risk and its indicators, ratings of banks and financial corporations, and ways to consider intermarket interactions; research on the globalization of marketsby examining the correlation between their global and local components and the dynamics of these relationships. Key areas of educational activity include the development and implementation of courses based on research findings in financial mathematics.

Laboratory of Stochastic Analysis and its Applications - HSE*
The team of the international laboratory gathers together researchers from various countries (Germany, France, Russia, UK) and from different schools but linked by close research interests. This lab has an initiative group from HSE (V.Konakov and V.Panov) and four invited professors with international recognition ( E.Mammen, S Menozzi, D.Belomestny, A.Veretennikov). This team was created on the basis of a long collaboration history, and research interests of all members of the group are quite close to each other. The general aim is to improve theoretical background and to develop practical methods for different stochastic models, to combine and share knowledge and ideas of leading international researchers to advance in several directions of the modern stochastic analysis.
