On November 15, 2016 ICSID held another session of its regular research Seminar on Diversity and Development in cooperation with NES Center for the Study of Diversity and Social Interactions and the seminar “Political Economy”.

The International congress "Surgical treatment of tumors in functionally significant brain areas. Features of preoperative and intraoperative mapping" was held on 17-18 November in the National medical-surgical Center, in Moscow.

Mariia Molodchik, senior research fellow of IDLAB has presented a paper "The influence of intellectual capital corporate performance: Evidence from European Companies over the period 2004-2014" on the Third International Conference on Nuclear Knowledge Management organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency at 7-11 of November in Vienna.

Laboratory for Comparative Social Research in cooperation with the World Values Survey Association and United Arab Emirates University organizes a panel «Comparative Survey Analysis Using WVS Data: Social Challenges and Global Value Shifts» within the 7th Conference of the European Survey Research Association (ESRA). If you are interested in the participation please submit your abstracts through ESRA web-site by the 4th of December 2016.

Discussions at the “Foresight and STI Policy” conference the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge is hosting for the sixth year in a row, highlight the changes in approaches to studying the current state and expected development trends in the S&T sphere. Major trends of Russian and international Foresight studies include deep integration of their results into science, technology and innovation (STI) policies at all levels, growing number (and complexity) of analytical techniques, and involvement of new actors.

On 3^rd November International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development, Laboratory for Labor Market Studies and Centre for Labour Market Studies held the joint seminar, where the paper «Dynamics of Inequality and Convergence after Transition – Evidence from Russia» was presented.

The report presents the results of the EDB Centre for Integration Studies’ ongoing research project “EDB Integration Barometer”. In 2016, 8,500 people from 7 CIS countries answered about 20 questions concerning the Eurasian integration and various facets of economic, political, and sociocultural cooperation in the CIS region.

On 28^th October in the International Center for Study of Institutions and Development Ilja Viktorov, PhD, researcher, Department of Economic History, Stockholm University, presented his report  entitled «The Swedish employers and the wage-earner funds debate during the crisis of Fordism in the 1970s and 1980s».
