The Laboratory for Comparative Social Research of the National Research University Higher School of Economics announces a call for the 10th LCSR International Workshop, which will be held within the XXI April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. It will take place in Moscow from the 6th till 10th of April 2019. The submission deadline is December 20, 2019.
On Wednesday, November 20 the all-Russian seminar "Mathematical methods of decision analysis in economics, finance and politics" was held. A. Bulatov gave a lecture on "Optimal Mechanism with Asymmetrically Budget Constrained Buyers".
Novermber 14th 2019 were chosen the finalists of the 23rd Mobius Contest.
On November 12-15, the Autumn school on modern methods and models of the individual and collective choice and decision-making theory with application to network data analysis, aggregation problems, influence indices was opened. The event is organized by the International Laboratory of Decision Choice and Analysis (DeCAn lab). Among the invited lecturers there are outstanding academics and researchers: Hans Peters (Maastricht University, Netherlands), Kanak Patel (Cambridge University, UK), Laszlo Koczy (Centre for Economic and Regional Studies, Hungary), Anna Khmelnitskaya (St Petersburg University, Russia), Peter Emerson (de Borda Institute, UK).
The 7th international workshop on the analysis of social networks was held on October 29-31 in Salerno, Italy. The workshop was about multilayer, multilevel and multimode networks. Some of our laboratory members and students of the master's program presented the results of their research on the thematic sessions.
On October 25-26, the International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF) and the Laboratory of Financial Economics (LFE) hosted the Eighth International Moscow Finance Conference at HSE University. This year’s programme included researchers from the University of California, Los Angeles; University of California, Berkeley; University of Warwick; University of Lausanne; Imperial College and the London School of Economics.
Noah Buckley-Farlee, research fellow at ICSID, has been Assistant Professor at Trinity College Dublin since August 1. We interviewed him about his impressions and further plans.
