Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course “Licensing and compliance” is aimed at developing an understanding the mode of behavior in the media in the case of arguments regarding the complaints of the public regarding the content that might seem controversial regarding the mainstream opinion. Students will learn about the main source’s controversy of the media, basic principles of compliance with media regulation in Russia and other parts of the world; legal basis of problem solutions in the sphere of media, They will learn to use and protect their professional rights of journalists in the case of public. Students will be provided with the case studies in the sphere.
