Internship programme Doing Business in Russia provides students with a unique opportunity to gain the experience and exposure necessary for a successful career. It also helps them build a network of contacts that will be essential to professional activity in Russia.
Developed in collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD), the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Moscow and Nuffic Neso Russia. HSE’s Doing Business in Russia programme combines practical experiences through internships with theoretical knowledge in the classroom in order to give a wide-reaching introduction to Russia’s business culture.
Doing Business in Russia: Internship
- Trains students to work in global companies, providing them with real – life experience to be efficient in Russia
- Prepares students to deal with cross-cultural differences and equips them with cultural intelligence competence and management tools required for general leadership roles. These include how to:
- Understand the influences of Russian local business environments and how they correspond to daily activities
- Make decisions with a clear view of the impact on the overall value creation on the Russian market

'The Programme brings students from different German high schools in Russia. Students go through the seminar on the topic "Doing business in Russia" at one of the excellent universities in Russian Federation Higher School of Economics. Near the studying programme students have a practice work in a German or Russian company in different regions of Russia. The Programme gives the German students a good opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The programme lets to obtain work experience in German and Russian companies in Russia. Students can develop their working skills. Students have an opportunity to acquaint with the Russian kind of working. The programme is useful for the future carrier and networking. Furthermore students can learn the Russian culture, Russian mentality and national features.'
