Course Syllabus
Abstract
The program is aimed at students of the educational program “Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication” who learn Spanish as a second foreign language. The program follows all the requirements to form communicative competence in a foreign language. The discipline “Communicative practice of the second foreign language (Spanish)” corresponds to the basic part of the professional cycle.
Learning Objectives
- Development of foreign language communicative competence at the threshold level corresponding to the DELE B1 level of the international Spanish language examination, ensuring that students are prepared and able to communicate in Spanish in everyday situations on a wide range of topics and in various communicative contexts, as well as to participate in the most common and relatively simple situations of academic communication.
Expected Learning Outcomes
- Understand the main ideas and selected details of spoken and written texts in Spanish, including texts typical of academic communication
- Produce generally coherent spoken texts in Spanish on familiar topics, express ideas clearly, provide brief explanations, and communicate effectively in most situations, including those typical of academic communication
- Produce simple written texts in Spanish on familiar topics while generally adhering to the conventions of academic communication
Assessment Elements
- Аудиторная работа/ Classroom activitiesДанный элемент контроля комплексно оценивает подготовленность студента к занятию, в том числе выполнение домашнего задания, его вовлечённость в учебный процесс и языковую активность (инициатива в ответах, участие в диалогах), а также качество выполнения всех видов работы в аудитории. Оценивается на каждом занятии по системе от 0 до 3 баллов. Итоговая оценка рассчитывается согласно процентной формуле: О накопленный балл * 10 / О максимальный балл. This assessment component evaluates the student's overall performance in class, including preparation for each class session (homework completion), engagement in the learning process, active use of the target language (e.g., initiative in responding and participation in dialogues), and the quality of all classroom activities. Performance is assessed at each class session on a scale of 0 to 3 points. The final score is calculated according to the following formula: Final score = (Accumulated score × 10) / Maximum possible score.
- Текущий контроль/ Continuous AssessmentДанный элемент контроля является направленным на проверку системы лингвистических (фонетика, лексика, грамматика) знаний студента, а также сформированности его языковых навыков и речевых умений. Результаты текущего контроля позволяют студенту получить своевременную обратную связь и служат основой для коррекции индивидуального образовательного маршрута. Текущий контроль может включать фонетические, лексические, грамматические тесты, задания на аудирование и чтение, а также задания на создание устных (например, монолог, диалог, презентация) и письменных (например, письмо, параграф, эссе) речевых продуктов. Текущий контроль проводится в аудиторном формате и включает от 6 до 8 единиц (при 4 парах в неделю) / от 3 до 4 единиц (при 2 парах в неделю) в 1-2 модулях и от 8 до 10 единиц (при 4 парах в неделю) / от 4 до 5 единиц (при 2 парах в неделю) в 3-4 модулях. Итоговая оценка составляет среднее арифметическое всех оценок за единицы текущего контроля. Итоговая оценка не округляется. This assessment component is designed to evaluate the student's linguistic knowledge (phonetics, vocabulary, and grammar), as well as the development of language skills and communicative competence. The results of continuous assessment provide students with timely feedback and support adjustments to their individual learning process. Continuous assessment may include phonetic, vocabulary, and grammar quizzes; listening and reading tasks; as well as the production of spoken (e.g., monologues, dialogues, presentations) and written (e.g., letters, paragraphs, essays) texts. Continuous assessment is conducted during scheduled class sessions and comprises 6–8 assessment tasks (for courses meeting four class periods per week) or 3–4 assessment tasks (for courses meeting two class periods per week) in Modules 1–2, and 8–10 assessment tasks (four class periods per week) or 4–5 assessment tasks (two class periods per week) in Modules 3–4. The final continuous assessment grade is calculated as the arithmetic mean of all continuous assessment scores. The final grade is not rounded.
- Рубежный контроль/ Module AssessmentДанный элемент контроля является направленным на комплексную проверку уровня сформированности речевых умений студента и служит индикатором его прогресса в изучении иностранного языка. Рубежный контроль проводится в аудиторном формате после освоения базового массива языкового материала один раз в модуль. Рубежный контроль включает задания на проверку рецептивных видов речевой деятельности (чтение или аудирование) и продуктивных видов речевой деятельности (письмо (в модуль, когда не проводится экзамен) или говорение (в модуль, когда проводится экзамен). Итоговая оценка составляет среднее арифметическое всех оценок за единицы рубежного контроля. Итоговая оценка не округляется. Оценивание осуществляется согласно критериям. This assessment component is designed to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the student's communicative competence and serves as an indicator of progress in foreign language learning. Module assessment is conducted in class once per module after students have completed the core language content. It includes tasks assessing both receptive skills (reading or listening) and productive skills (writing in modules without a final examination, or speaking in modules with a final examination). The final module assessment grade is calculated as the arithmetic mean of all module assessment scores. The final grade is not rounded. Assessment is carried out in accordance with the established assessment criteria.
- Итоговая письменная работа/ Final Written AssessmentДанный элемент контроля комплексно оценивает уровень сформированности лексических и грамматических навыков студента, навыков и умений аудирования и чтения, а также способность вести эффективную письменную коммуникацию на иностранном языке в различных речевых ситуациях. Итоговая письменная работа проводится в конце учебного модуля и включает четыре раздела: 1. Лексика и грамматика, 2. Чтение, 3. Аудирование, 4. Письмо. Максимальный балл за каждый раздел составляет 10, вес каждого раздела в итоговой оценке составляет 25%. Итоговый максимальный балл - 10. This assessment component provides a comprehensive evaluation of the student's vocabulary and grammar knowledge, reading and listening skills, and ability to communicate effectively in writing in a range of communicative situations in the target language. The Final Written Assessment is administered at the end of the course and consists of four sections: Vocabulary and Grammar Reading Listening Writing The maximum score for each section is 10 points, and each section contributes 25% to the overall assessment grade. The maximum overall score is 10 points.
- Устный экзамен/ Final Oral ExaminationДанный элемент контроля оценивает способность студента осуществлять эффективную устную коммуникацию на иностранном языке в различных речевых ситуациях, в том числе с опорой на письменный текст. This assessment component evaluates the student's ability to communicate effectively in spoken Spanish across a range of communicative situations, including those requiring the use of a written text as a prompt.
