Course Syllabus
Abstract
The Project Proposal is an integral part of bachelor's thesis preparation. It aims to assess students' readiness to present and defend their research or project ideas in English.
The Project Proposal consists of two components: an individual written proposal outlining the rationale, objectives, methodology, and anticipated and/or achieved results of the bachelor's thesis, followed by an oral defense. The defense includes a presentation and a question-and-answer session conducted in English.
Learning Objectives
- To assess students' readiness to conduct their bachelor's thesis by evaluating their ability to formulate and justify a research or project idea, define its objectives and methodology, and present and defend their proposal
Expected Learning Outcomes
- The students are able to formulate the topic of their research in a clear and coherent manner
- The students can choose the most appropriate methodology and research design depending on the choice of a theoretical stream and a research question
- The students can argue and articulate the research design and methods that are the most appropriate to study their research problem
- The students are able to develop a theoretical background for their research and formulate their contribution and managerial implication
