MENA – EU migration (2001-2015)

 

·        Graphs below illustrate the inflow of migrants and refugees from 2001 to 2015 from 13 developing countries of Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to European Union

·        International migrant is defined as “person who changes his or her country of usual residence” (United Nations definition)

·        Refugee inflow is measured as the number of new asylum applications based on the data from United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR)

·        Related work conducted by laboratory staff: (Aleskerov et al., 2017)
