Topic: Sustainability of new centrality indices in network structures
Annotation:
The study of the stability of centrality measures is one of the most important directions in the field of network analysis, since in recent decades there have been more and more ways to rank vertices in a graph. Assessing how resilient a ranking is to small changes is especially important for working with real networks, since working with them is often accompanied by incompleteness or slight distortions in the data. The paper provides a brief overview of existing approaches to assessing the stability of centrality indices. The results of the stability of classical and new centrality indices (Bundle and Pivotal indices) to changes in the graph (removal and addition of edges, removal and addition of vertices) are described. The results of a series of experiments are presented for 7 classical network structures.
